YouTube Play: Logo change draws visitors : Online Social Media #SocialMedia

YouTube logo change is a way of drawing visitors attention to the YouTube play mini-site. The YouTube play project (which closes for deadlines in just over a day) aims to find hidden artistic talent through YouTube.

Candidates submit their videos to the YouTube play site, where 200 will be chosen by the Guggenheim Museum.

YouTube has been very keen on leveraging their home page logo as a launch mechanism for their current partnerships. Although Google has been changing their logo frequently, they have not necessarily linked it to promotions. Will this change?
